Junglefy - Lendlease Headquarters

Junglefy provided the hero design element of the Lendlease global headquarters at Barangaroo South, a six-metre high Breathing Wall, creating a stunning entrance to the office as well as providing health and wellbeing benefits. From the outset, this project was a collaborative effort with Lendlease including design, marketing, contract negotiations and even down to the planting of the modules. Lendlease held an internal competition in which eight of their team wrote in 25 words or less what their new workplace meant to them. The winning entries were granted a day off to come out to the Junglefy nursery to do a day of planting for their own project.

Our Role

Junglefy brought to this project, a comprehensive range of services. These included; a global first innovation, technical design, planting design and selection, installation of steel framework, fabrication and installation of plenums, installation of fans and irrigation, pregrowing of Breathing Wall and Green Wall modules at our nursery facility at Ingleside, commissioning of the project and a 3-year performance based maintenance contract. The current maintenance program also includes monitoring by the research team from UTS Plants and Environmental Science and is part of our continuing research investment with UTS.
