Equator – the Belt Factory™️ is a belt and accessory manufacturer in Durban on a long-term committed sustainability journey. Ecolution Consulting are the lead sustainability consultants on the project, offering general sustainability and green building strategy and guidance, sustainability communications as well as Green Star SA consulting. The factory is currently targeting a Green Star SA 4 Star Existing Building Performance, custom industrial.

The end goal is circular economy and carbon neutrality of the product. That ideal is currently far off, however, we are working with Equator on short, medium and long-term strategies and actions that include the factory building and operations, raw materials, packaging and logistics. We also work with Equator on their internal and external communications, as well as employee engagement campaigns and workshops.
